Laura Babbitt is a graduate of the Institute of Holistic Nutrition where she earned her diploma with Honours in Applied Holistic Nutrition and received her designations as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner. Laura is also a graduate of the University of Guelph where she earned a double major Bachelorette of Arts degree in Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice & Public Policy. Laura is also a certified Clinical Iridologist, a Therapeutic Touch practitioner and trained in Escential Indian Head Massage. She is also actively furthering her education to become a clinical herbalist.
During a very long and successful career in law enforcement, Laura experienced serious health issues and decided to change gears. After doing extensive research into the study of nutrition and health and identifying the best educational programs available, she left everything behind and pursued an education in holistic nutrition. Soon thereafter, she personally experienced the profound effects of improved diet, environment and lifestyle on her own health and those of her family.
As the owner of Be Here Now Holistics, Laura has built a successful private practice in Burlington. She practices full family care, including women’s health, men’s health and the health of those over 50. She takes a natural approach to health and teaches clients how to understand food and empowers them with the right tools to make the most powerful changes to their health and environment.
In addition to continued studies in nutrition and related modalities, you can find Laura reading, golfing and spending time with her two children and husband.
